First 100 word challenge competitor!

April 27th, 2012

Well done to Oliver in 12dS for being the first person in school to complete a 100 word challenge. Let’s see how many more people can do it!!

Remember, you have only 100 words to write…so…it doesn’t take long and you have to be selective with your words….

This week you must write anything you like on the theme: DRAGONS!

Go on, give it a go!!

Welcome back!

April 22nd, 2012

Welcome back to our final term! I cannot believe how quickly time has gone. This half term’s topic is: What’s in your treasure chest. A big thank you to all of the shoe boxes we have already had in as we will be making our own special chest later in the term. An even bigger thank you for all of the effort you put into History day on Friday. A lot of effort obviously went into the costumes! It was all worth it as the children really enjoyed being Victorians for the day, and so did I!

Take on the 100 word challenge!

March 28th, 2012

Each week children from schools around the country take part in the online 100 word challenge. It is a chance for you to write anything you like as long as it is includes the weekly prompt. This week the prompt is:

‘The chocolate rabbit melted in the sun…’

Post your piece of writing based using that prompt on your class blog and make sure to tag your name. I will then enter it into the nationwide 100 word challenge at www.100wc.net

Every week some of the best efforts from around the country are put in the weekly showcase and read by lots of people around the country!

Could you be the first person from Barlow Hall to make the showcase???

Go on, give it a go!
